I have heard Grand Rios is overpriced and doesn't have very good service.

There's an indoor waterpark and resort in Duluth, MN called Edgewater Resort and Waterpark. I haven't personally visited this resort though their website makes it look and sound really great. Also, they state that their hotel is newly rebuilt. You can visit the website at: http://www.duluthwaterpark.com/index.php

If you can go the extra distance I would highly recommend going to Wisconsin Dells which bills itself as the "waterpark capital of the world". The Dells is located in western Wisconsin, about a 3 1/2 drive east of Minneapolis. The official website for all the parks at Wisconsin Dells is at: http://www.wisdells.com/home.cfm

Waterpark of America (located less than 1/2 mile from Mall of America) just opened in Bloomington, MN last year. Bloomington is a suburb just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis.

Waterpark of America claims to have the tallest indoor waterslide in the United States - ten stories tall. Some of the activities offered include the following: surfing simulator ride, family raft ride, tube and body water slides, zero-depth wave pool, interacitve water play structure, children's pool, sports activity pools, hot tub spas, and lazy river.

The water park is attached to the Grand Lodge hotel, a brand new hotel with 400 guest rooms. Both the hotel and the waterpark have a Northwoods theme. The waterpark is open to the general public and Grand Lodge guests are guaranteed admission to the park on the busiest days.

You can visit the park's website for more information:

Wikipedia has some interesting information about the park and hotel also:

i dont know about in minnesta, but if you wanted to travel for a few hours, go to Chula Vista in Wisconsin Dells. It has an awesome indoor and outdoor waterpark, mini golf, spa, surfing, camp fires at night, and a pretty sweet buffet and bar.

Sweetie, the best indoor water parks that I know are in Sandusky, Ohio. I live in Michigan & Sandusky has like 3 of them!
The best one is Kalhari. There is also Castaway Bay & the Great Wolfe Lodge.
Cedar Point is also the very best amusement park! You may have to travel but its worth it.
Sincerely,
