In Greek ancient religion - was Tartarus and the Elysian fields only for Greeks?

I just saw this on an episode of Xena, and who knows how accurate that is? :) She was talking to Hades and he told her that he only took the dead Greeks. I found that interesting. Has anyone studying Greek Mythology ever heard that one?? I thought most other god stories included everyone, not just regional people.

they only took greeks, probably because the greeks were the only ones that beleived in it. the other went to other places like Valhalla or Heaven or were just reincarnated.
