An excellent coach with great brains..he is the real leader..he can change players like ganguly...bcoz he iz so strict...his policy is so good, dat every player needs to perform, otherwise they are gonna be sacked like sehwag,pathan,etc..see, as ganguly is back in form b4 the world-cup..even sehwag would prove himself..Ultimately India's chances of winning the world-cup are looking brighter..

May be he does not seem to be a good coach at present he was one of the best players of Australia.
And taking into consideration that do you think he may not be a good coach??
When Mr. Chappel first joined his post and producing good results people said India is looking for the World Cup and stuff...
but now as India lost the SA series they started saying that Mr.Chappel is not a good coach. That is people's(Indians) mind
they keep changing their thoughts. But to be frank I would say he has done a fair job the victory of 17 consecutive chases
the test win at SA,etc. But even I am worried that India and Mr.Chappel has not got a frontline bowler who can perform consistently
,like say McGrath, Lee, Polluck, etc ..
So its not only Mr. Chappel to be blamed but even the Indian pitches that do not support fast bowlers, the bowlers should be
given training in fast assistant (and bounce) tracks,
And I do accept that Mr. Chappel is doing a bit of experimentation which sometimes is a positive and a negative as well, so take
things in the right way you will get the solution.....

I think he is not a bad coach but Indian conditions don't suit his way of thinking. He wants to build the team with younger and stronger players who can field exceptionally well, he wants a couple of proven all rounders, and he wants to shift our reliance from spin bowling to pace bowling. He feels that india should look ahead and promote young players rather than overworking old and tired players like Sachin, Ganguli, Laxman, Kumble and others. India wants quick results that Chapple can't promise.

Hi Bhavneet ji,
To be honest..don't go with what the media says. Do you think all the controversies that came up about Chappel were true. What goes inside the dressing room, inside the conference room is completely fabricated when it reaches the media. There are unreal facts added to what comes out of the dressing room and reaches the media. Then, what reaches to us from the media has its unreal facts too. An example to this is when Irfan Pthan said his favorite actress was Juhi Chawla. He praised her acting abilites and liked her for her work. But one newspaper said he liked her so much that he didn't eat anything the day he came to know she became a mother. And he claims that that news was wrong. He said he liked her as an actress but didn't end up quitting on food. Who could you believe here? The middle finger thing with the coach, BCCI tried a couple ways to cover him up. In reality, did he really show the middle finger with wrong intention or was his finger really injured. We cannot judge a book by its cover. And when it comes to bollywood, politics, cricket, stardom..what the media says is 99% untrue. I always had one doubt..when we hire coaches from a different country, can we lay our 100% faith in them. When India is playing against Australia, and if Australia wins, would Chappel be happy because his countrymen won or would he be sad because his team lost?
