i have a netgear wgr614v6 router and the wireless icon is glowing.. my palm tx recognizes "netgear" and it has a strong signal and has a padlock on the right side... whenever i try to connect it connects but "no signal"
do i need wep or wpa?
do i need ip address and dns?
do i need to do something to my pc?

i connect it with a wep and its already connected.. my problem is.... there's NO SIGNAL.

A padlock on the right side? Sounds like you mean theres a padlock icon next to your wireless connection icon, meaning the connection requires a password, typically WEP. You, or whoever created your wireless network should know this password. Your ip address and DNS should be set to be configured automatically.
Its difficult to know exactly what problem you are having without providing more detail

in your pc you should have a wireless network interface card (NIC)...both the nic and the router have to have the same SSID...with wireless security i reccomend the wep personal, make sure the password is more than 9 charcters long for best security aginst hacking software..

the lock means that you have a wep pass on your wireless.
