Well i charged my ipod nano on the weekend and listened to it enough during the week where the battery died on thursday. It said on the screen, "no battery power remains.please connect ipod to power". I plugged it into my computer on thursday when it died. It's now saturday and the screen still says that after being plugged into power 1 1/2 days. I just got it a month ago and i have no clue why it's doing that.

You should try a shft reboot, the screen is probably just frozen... Hold in the middle and the menu buttons in for about 10 seconds, the screen should go blank and then the apple should appear, then it should be fine...

My experience with Ipods is that they are one of the crapiest products Apple makes. They break very easily and are nearly impossible to fix. good luck though, maybe since yours is still very new it can be taken back to the store.
