I have spent hours following answers given on here but they never work! Correction....I did manage to get 4 FLV files but everything else won't play.
Be honest now...you can't actually get these things at all can you?
All I want is something simple.....

I've tried everything but it still won't work. I have what I need according to your answers, but the file I end up with can't be played. I downloaded a converter but that just plays a rubbish version on its own rubbish player.
Think I'll give up now, but thanks to all of you who sent a proper answer.

it's possible....
download video from youtube....
1.copy the url
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l57/ch...
2.go www.keepvid.com,paste the url,choose youtube then
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l57/ch...
3.right click,save target as,rename and add .flv at the end(e.g. Japan.flv)
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l57/ch...
******************************...
1. since it is .flv format,so we need Riva FLV this software to convert the video
http://www.download.com/riva-flv-encoder...
2.download & install it
3.http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l57/ch...
4.[input video] Japan.flv
5.[Output Dictory] choose the place to save the file like desktop
6.[Destination Video File] change Japan.flv to Japan.wmv/ Japan.avi/ Japan.mpeg.....just allow change to this 3 format
5.Encode,during converting, the interface will change to white, that means it downloading and wait a moment, exit out of it, and the video should be on your desktop.

Sure just get replay av
It's a cool program and you won't need a special player afterward.
They have a demo you can download. You can also get videos from aol music, cmt.com ect. I have the full version so I don't know what the restrictions are on the demo. You could try a to find a full version on bittorrent but if you like it buy it for sure. It works great. I get the videos then convert them and put them on my psp or you could put them on you Ipod.

You can download videos from not only YouTube, but many other sites that allow media streaming. All you need is a host for the files, copy + paste the URL into the host, then you can right-click + save targets as.

Ehm..
Adobe Flash Player is the solution if you see a black screen while you 're watching videos, or if you have other problems watching them on Youtube or on Facebook.
I was looking for a free download aTube Catcher I found it here http://bitly.com/1sxSSLi

If using Firefox get the video downloader extension. Then while viewing the video click on the video downloader icon and it will save to wherever you select.
