I do not even have a computer, but can access one at
a library or senior center. I still use a sony walkman
and a boom box!

This is not going to be practical to do this in the library - you're supposed to be quiet in there!!
take a look at:

your best bet is to find a business that converts media formats back and forth (VHS tapes to DVD, Old film to DVD) they will be able to convert the cassettes to CD's.
