I am looking for someone to work with me on a book. I don't know how or where to begin. This will be a book that alot of counselors will recommend to both troubled kids both on the run and/or in the system who come from drug/alcohol/abuse families and who try to make it on their own and how to change the "Life Cycle" that everyone tells us is impossible to change and how to deal with step children with a mother who is a meth addict. I have so much to share in a book but I don't know how to limit and the book would be a filing cabinet long. I need somone who has good organizational/timeline skills. I will gladly share profits with a contract signed before starting. I will be in no hurry but would like this goal in my life completed soon.

I hire people to write eBooks for me all the time. They do it as a ghostwriter, so I get to put my name on it and say I wrote it. I use rentacoder.com

you could go on-line to find local publishers and they "should" be able to tell you where to go to get help on writing your book and organizing your thoughts. Now as far as helping you write a book, that depends on where you are. I would be more than happy to offer my assistance, but if you aren't in Texas...that could pose difficult. The first thing you are going to want to do though, is sit down and make a table of your chapters i.e.,

A. Introduction:
1. Why I wrote the book
2. You aren't alone
A. Chapter 1:
1. Breaking the cycle
2. Troubled Teens

Or whatever, that's just an idea and it will help you to organize your thoughts and get an Idea of what you want to put to down on paper. So what if your book is 2,000 pages long, as long as you don't repeat yourself 30 times and you don't' jump around to much, I think you'd great.

Good luck and if you do decide you would like advice, you can always e-mail me. No charge, but good luck!!

I know there are companies that do exactly what you are suggesting - you pay them a flat fee (no need to share profits) and they "write your book" - taking all of your information and editing it and placing it into book format - their name doesn't appear anywhere, because it's your book. My sister knows someone who LOVES doing this and is REALLY good - email me if you are interested in more information! Good Luck!
