Was that 'orrible song "Swing low sweet chariot" or whatever it's called, adopted by the English Rugby fans as it really gets on my nerves

yes.......................... but it will not get out of my head lol

so just for you here it is

Swing Low Sweet Chariot

I looked over Jordan and what did I see
Coming for to carry me home?
A band of angels coming after to me
Coming for to carry me home

chorus Swing low, sweet Chariot
Coming for to carry me home
Swing low, sweet Chariot
Coming for to carry me home

If you get there before I do
Coming for to carry me home
Tell all my friends I'm coming home too
Coming for to carry me home

Sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm down
Coming for to carry me home
Yet still my soul feels heavenly bound
Coming for to carry me home.

I know what u mean! i think it was adopted after the last 6 nations, but im not sure. I really dont understand why these songs are adopted by football/rugby fans and teams and then played continuously untill everyone is pulling their hair out!

its not a horrible song its pretty nice actually and it originates from america from the black slaves who use to sing in the field. Music was there way to express themselves and uplift their spirit. So though you prob know little about it the song has more meaning than what you think.
