I'm going to a private school in the fall, but no matter how hard I try, one of my friends won't remember that I'm going. I told him once and he laughed at me, then about a week later he was surprised when one of the teachers said that I was leaving in the new year. Then about another week later, the same thing happened again! He doesn't seem to have any recolection of me saying anything about the subject to him and keeps saying that I never said anything about it to him! All of my other friends remember it, and overall he's a pretty together person, so I'm kinda worried about him. Does anyone have any ideas on why he keeps forgeting?

Scenario 1- He doesn't want you to go. Therefore, his mind refuses to accept and remember the fact that you are leaving.
Scenario 2- You are not an essential part of his life, so therefore, he is not "storing" this information in his head because there is no reason to do so.
