I really want a benefit makeup set, but its expensive to buy it from benefit itself. Do you reckon its safe to buy makeup on ebay?

I wouldnt. You dont know how old it is, or where its been. It could have been passed around by a few folk if you know what I mean! Yuck! I dont even share my mascara, eyeshadow or lipsticks with my sister or my friends.

I would- but with a few guidelines in mind. Look for a seller who is offering the makeup marked NIB (new in box) or is otherwise unused. If you're not sure if the makeup has been used, send the seller a question via email before bidding. Check their shipping rates and return policies as well. Also, closely read the description of what's included in the set. You don't want to (potentially) get stuck with something you don't like because you didn't completely read a description. Good luck and happy bidding!

i've bought a bunch of makeup off ebay. you can get some really nice deals if you buy a few items or more as opposed to buying from the department store. just be aware of high shipping prices. if its more than the product itself, i might not buy it. also check if its new in the package and the sellers feedback. ask questions too of you are feeling strange about a product.

I buy my UV makeup from ebay all the time. It's the only way I can get it unless I travel across the country or to germany. I've never had an issue and everything is brand new. Always check feedback, other items the seller is auctioning, and ask for ADDITIONAL picture. You shouldn't have a problem. :D

you never buy make-up anywhere but a store or where it originally came from. it could be used, or dirty. It could be years old and you wouldnt even know it. My friend julie bought this lotion and make-up set from ebay and the next time i saw her she had a huge rash on her face because the seller lied and told her it was brand new when actually is was used by three people with the same rash. Her doctor told her it was a bacterial infection, so dont trust anything thats for your skin or hygiene except for whats in the stores.

I worked at a store that sold bare minerals. Its not worth your time either way. Even if you decide to ignore me.... Check the sellers return policy Make sure you reread the entire ad at least 3 times to make sure you arent missing some important information If you arent sure, contact the seller. If its all okay then go for it, stuff can be cheaper on ebay by a lot depending on what it is, so it could be genuine.

Unless it specifically states it is in the original wrapping and it still is when you receive it, then I wouldn't. Why not just go to Ulta? It's my favorite place to buy makeup and it's very reasonably priced. Plus, if you become an Ulta rewards member (it's just a frequent buyer card, not a credit card or anything) then they send you all sorts of coupons, reward points for free stuff, catalogs, etc.

Yes , I think it is safe just read the feedback on the seller.I have bought many items from eBay but not makeup , as long as it is not a fake brand from Asia you should be fine.

I've not had any problems with items off there but you can never tell if the product is legit until you have it in your hands. The 'copiers' are so good these days you can be easily tricked by the realistic packaging....hmmm....I think if it is something your really want...and the price is good....and the feedback comments are no less than 99% positive I would risk it!!

It is really dodgy buying off ebay becuase you never know what you are getting?
You should check the person ratings and check if they are reliable or not. Just because it is cheaperm does not mean it is all ok. I hope that you get one in good conditionx

As long as it is New and unused it should be safe. My daughter has bought a few items of make up off Ebay and so far all ok.
