The introduction to America's Declaration of Independence affirms that "all men are created equal."

However, the punch to your question rings back in my mind to George Orwell's "Animal Farm." When the pigs are taking leadership, they exclaim: "All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others."
("Animal Farm was written as a satire against the replacement of one type of tyranny for another, masking itself as freedom." -- http://www.giantleap.org/envision/foodchain.htm )

The age-old problem is that those in power try to maintain control and grab for more unto tyrrany. Since the feminist movement, women have increased substantially in power and have followed the same patterns.

The solution to this all is servant leadership, not power-mongering.

I have noticed that in the past decade, feminists have vyed for the power and control, and at the same time, expect their men to be chivalrous and sensitive toward them. So, they want other men to treat them as men in the workplace and women at home.

Life would be far better, and easier, if men just accepted their masculine role and women accepted their feminine role - and carried out those roles in love. Call it outdated, call it traditional, call it whatever you want... but, we would all be much happier.

You seem to be referring to the fact that some feminists do not believe that ALL people deserve to be treated with equal courtesy, regardless of race, religion, or gender.

Not all feminists agree with this principle.

It appears that the goal for at least SOME feminists is to LEVEL the playing field ECONOMICALLY, but MAINTAIN INEQUALITY in other areas that women historically have benefitted from (and seem to want) - being protected and deferred to by men in social situations - even if the men are strangers.

For example, they want to compete head to head with a man for a job or a contract, but STILL have him help her with her coat and give up his seat on the train for her on the way home.

I argue that ALL people (not just women) deserve to be treated with courtesy, regardless of race, religion, or even gender.

The feminist movement as you say, is not one movement of woman-gendered people who have one aim (being of equality). The feminism movement is broken up into many different agenda's, and wanting equal rights in the law and in Western institutions is just one of those issues. There are many many other issues, and many many different types of feminist movements.

Feminism is the organized movement which promotes equality for men and women in political, economic and social spheres. Feminists believe that women are oppressed simple due to their sex based on the dominant ideology of patriarchy. Ridding society of patriarchy will result in liberation for women, men, minorities, and gays.

Therefore, not all women are feminists and not all feminists are women. Some feminsts are men.

Patriarchy is the system which oppresses women through it's social, economic and political institutions. Throughout history men have had greater power in both the public and private spheres. To maintain this power, men have created boundaries and obstacles for women, thus making it harder for women to hold power. There is an unequal access to power. Patriarchy also includes the oppression of minorities and homosexuals.

Some of the different feminists movements are: pro-feminism, Radical Feminism, Liberal Feminism,Socialist Feminism, Cultural Feminism, Ecofeminism etc

So to answer the section question, if you are asking do all these different movements and different ideologies within feminism want equality between human beings, then yes they do. They would like all human beings to have the same access to societies resources. They want the benefits for all human beings, no matter what there sex or gender, to have the same rights and freedoms and resources. Feminism isnt as simple as equality between men and women, it is a civil and humanitarian movement for equal access for all human beings.

Humanitarianism is an informal ideology of practice, whereby people practice humane treatment and provide assistance to others.

Humanitarianism is based on a view that all human beings deserve respect and dignity and should be treated as such. Therefore, humanitarians work towards advancing the well-being of humanity as a whole. It is the antithesis of the "us vs. them" mentality that characterizes tribalism and ethnic nationalism. Humanitarians abhor slavery, violation of basic and human rights, and discrimination on the basis of features such as color of skin, religion, ancestry, place of birth, etc. Humanitarianism is embraced by movements and people across the political spectrum, and particularly (but not exclusively) by leftists.

Humanitarianism was probably most publicly seen in the social reforms of the late 1800s and early 1900s, following the economic turmoil of the Industrial Revolution in England. Many of the women in Great Britain who were involved with feminism during the 1900s also pushed humanitarianism. The atrocious hours and working conditions of children and unskilled laborers were made illegal by pressure on Parliament by humanitarians. The Factory Act of 1833 and the Factory Act of 1844 were some of the most significant humanitarian bills passed in Parliament following the Industrial Revolution.

True equality. Before the feminist movement women were true second class citizens. They still have work to do, but things are much better now. Women still make less money than men and have to struggle more to achieve the same level as men. But there has been progress...thanks mostly to the feminist movement.

you're generalizing plenty. Feminism is a suitable-what number individuals can stay as a lot as a perfect? Feminism has been hijacked via some very offended people-both adult adult males and women who interpret it in spite of way they could to make feminism look as undesirable as available. many of the guidelines that were positioned into position are not that tremendous for women or adult adult males-yet there have been severe issues, and people tried to go back up with ideas. enable's settle for it, existence isn't straightforward. there's a lot if inequalities in our society and our international antagonistic to adult adult males and women, besides as people of colour and the unfavorable. it ought to take quite a number of trial and blunder before a straightforward gadget should be wide-spread. for sure there'll be some females who will take advantage of a situation, resembling some adult adult males do. yet once you're a straightforward man or woman, you'll see that any violence or sexual harassment is faulty, in spite of who its antagonistic to. also, even regardless of the reality that I hate conflict, if i grow to be pronounced as i ought to flow. If adult adult males are lack of life for our u . s . a ., what American female would not decide on to do a similar element, and strive against for his or her u . s . a .? for sure it really is unfair if some females do not get carry of the shortcoming of life penalty at the same time as adult adult males do, yet frankly, I see truly unfavorable black adult adult males being performed in my state, so its much better complicated than a gender difficulty. maximum females immediately gained't even call themselves a feminist, on account that some offended adult adult males and women have redefined it to intend "guy-hating lesbians". I bear in ideas being pronounced as a females libber on account that i had to be ready to play events (pre identify IX), flow to varsity (i grow to be one among 9 people in my type who went), have a call about marriage and having little ones, needed a call about the interest i ought to prepare for and quite practice for (contained in the 70's all decide on-commercials were separated via gender), and needed the prospect to do something except be a waitress, maid, instructor or nurse, if i had to do something else...that grow to be purely 30 years in the past that few females went to varsity and a lot less nonetheless did something yet very classic "female" jobs. with out feminism, i should be residing an extremely constricted existence.

'The feminist movement' is singular, not plural. Thus you would say 'Is the feminist movement', not 'are the feminist movement'. Sorry for the 4th grade english lesson.
