turn indicators and hazard lights work off separate flasher units.
so perform these test to determine where the problems is.
turn hazard lights on then remove flasher unit that you replaced
if hazard lights remain flashing you replaced the indicator flasher unit. if they stop working you replaced the hazard light flasher unit. find the other flasher unit and ad replace it with the one you just removed. if your indicators work now put the flasher unit back on the hazard lights and replace the indicator flasher unit.
if the indicators don't work check the fuse. if the fuse is bad replace fuse and check indicators. if they work you are finished. if the fuse was good you have a bad indicator switch. if the fuse was blown and you replaced it you have a short in the indicator circuit.
check for broken wires and wires with insulation damage short could also be in indicator switch.

1st off, check the fuses.
its not going to be the bulb themselves as there are 3 indicator bulbs per side, if 1 goes the remaining flash at a faster rate.

It could be the contacts in the indicator stalk or the switch itself but its more likely to be:

hazard light switch itself. ive seen it many times where the hazrd lights work fine but indicators dont or one side doesnt.

hope this helps.

The hazard lights have their own separate electrical connection to the battery. So it is not unusual for the turn signals not to work while the emergency flashers do work.

Sounds like the Switch in the stem of your indicator lever is not working, unless there's a separate fuse for your indicators. But that doesn't sound likely.
