Cortez led a group of men to Mexico in search of gold, where he found the Aztecs. At this point in time the Aztecs ruled most of Mexico. The leader of the Aztecs, Moctezuma, thought Cortez was the corn god and politely invited him and his men into the Aztec’s city, Tenochtitlan. Cortez fought an killed many Aztecs. Moctazuma was killed shortly after. Cortez then managed to concur the Aztecs and their city. People in modern day Mexico mostly speak Spanish because of Cortez and his men.

One thing is out of place. Cortes entered the city of Tenochtitlan where Montezuma lived in 1520. It was shortly after he and his men entered that Montezuma was slain. Cortes and his men then fled the city and after resupplying and receiving re-enforcements he returned to the city in the spring of 1521 and lay siege to it. After several months the city was destroyed and Cortes conquered it.

It's interesting to note however, that out of the estimated 19 million Aztec's that existed at the time of Cortes arrival over 50% of them died not from weapons, but from germs that the Spaniards carried with them that the Aztec's had no resistance to.

I would also take issue with the idea that Montezuma took Cortez to be a god. Traditional Spanish accounts recite that the Aztecs took him for the returning god Quetzacoatl. Now historians, looking at native accounts of the encounter, argue that the Aztecs did not record any such belief, that this first showed up in later Spanish accounts of the conquest and then became sort of established fact.

It all looks good grammatically. However, it spelled Montezuma, not Moctezuma.

You could place a semi-colon ";" instead of a period between "...many Aztecs. Montezuma was killed...", but that's optional.

It is all good. I don't know if it is all true but grammatically it is good.
