Ask your local fish store if they will take trade ins. Many will, especially if your upgrading your tank species and putting a little extra cash in his pocket.

No, this is not ok. The shark is semi aggressive, and a danger to the long fins of the betta, and will be a danger to the very small neons should you add them. Goldfish are not suitable for this size tank, especially not three plus several other fish. They simply produce too much watse to be appropriatlly and safely housed in such a small tank. You may be able to skate by when they are small, but the ultimate goal is to keep your fish alive and healthy, yes? Well goldies should reach about a foot for comets, and around the size of a softball for fancy. Should they not, they will die a horrible early death consiting of their body's stunted growth while their organs continue to grow until their death. A goldfish can live a few decades, not a few years. The tank is also too warm for these cold water loving fish. Heated tanks increase their metabolism, which in these bloat and swim bladder disease prone fish, can be a seriouse hazard. And as the goldies grow, their mouths will too, meaning the very small neons risks becomeing diner. Neons prefer larger numbers than three or four, especially when housed with aggressive fish. It's only been 2 weeks since you put them in, do you mean this tank is only two weeks old? You still need to finish the cycle of this tank, which can take any were from 1-2 months, possibly more. Neons are very sensitive to ammnoia fluctuations, and a newly cycling tank is bound to have these. Your tank is more than stocked, I wouldn't suggest any more fish, especially with your current mix. Best of Luck!

Sell them, bring them to the pet store, abandon them at the shelter.

Just don't flush them. Fish live for days in the septec tank before they die of chemical burns. Its a horrible death for the fish.

And don't release them into the wild, goldfish harbor viruses that can kill off native populations.

Check with a grade school in your area and see if any of the instructors might want them for their classroom. Sometimes teachers like to have such displays - especially for young children.

put them for free up on Craigslist online. Someone will want them and take them off your hands, even if you think they won't.

go to www.craigslist.org and on the right hand side, pick your state and the closest metro area to you. You can go to "for sale/wanted" in the middle and post in the "free" section. there is no cost to post.
