first do you know what is a galaxy from the most recent theories ? it's billion of stars with a supemassive blackhole at the center. So more or less at any time there is a star the is exploding, collapsing, or expanding into any galaxy.
So for your answer: no.
how old are you, you like explosions and don't know about them, i suppose, grow and learn.

You will have to be content with super novas. Galaxies are collections of billions of stars and for a galaxy to 'explode' a large number of its stars would have to go nova or supernova all at once which is not very likely.
If a nearby star were to give off a huge gamma ray burst and it was aimed right at our planet (not very likely either) it could do us and our planet serious harm, but it would not be very sspectacular. Most of us would be dead before we knew it.

A star explode, but whole galaxies? Not likely. Go to the NASA website, they have lots of details.

explode ; unlikely by physics standards as currently known, however pulled back into a giant or several giant black holes, atomized and reorganized then a new big bang creating a new galaxy or galaxies in close proximity, has been proven !, and witnessed !

each thing that we may be able to confirm in our Universe immediately formed as consequently of the gravity. The Universe began with "the massive bang" which produced radiation, debris, and atoms. Electrons were in touch in protons by using their opposite rates and Hydrogen atoms formed. Gravity brought with regard to the formation of stars and galaxies.

I like your attitude and the answer is.............yes they can. Don't worry! they will not threaten our lives. The galaxies which have possibility of exploding are some 100 to 200 light years away.
