Is this a regular occurrence or a first time 'offense'? Regular occurrence you may have recourse, first time offense, I doubt recourse is warranted. Everyone is entitled to slip up once...however if that error isn't used as a learning experience and a 2nd repeat of the same error takes place, then it's time to inquire about the problem.
Third time? The charm, that's when you begin to consider looking for work elsewhere because it sounds like that company is either allowing an idiot to manage their payroll or the company is in financial distress. Either way, action is then justified.
My employer was the US government and at one time our paychecks came from Paris, France (go figure). They were late more than once but extenuating circumstances were involved...however, those who needed it, were extended funds to cover any expenses that were due and could result in difficulties for the employee. It was an excellent employment and I had absolutely no trouble accepting the delays in pay at times.
You have to weigh all things and work from there...as I said, everyone is entitled to one goof up...perhaps this is theirs
Good luck

Have they paid you since? If the wages were just a couple of days late then it could be more trouble and stress than it's worth. If they still haven't paid you stop working immediately. But keep a close eye on things even if you've been paid, a late pay check could be a sign of problems in the company.

If you NEVER received your paycheck, then what are you doing still working there?
Is this a habitual occurance, or just a weird glitch?
If you never receive it sue in small claims court, after you find a job that actually pays you.
If you got it, just late, find out if this is going to be a regular happening. Sign up for direct deposit if they offer it.
If it happens all the time, contact your state's department of labor and file a complaint.

The legal requirements for a company to pay its employees varies by state. Start with your local state employment office - they should have the regulations or know where to locate copies.
Many states have a Wage & Hour division which handles such things, your state maybe different or a different group takes care of failure to pay.
Good luck.

It depends on when you finally recieved your check. If your employer was over a week late getting you your check, I would say yes, you can sue.
If you got your check within a few days, then no, there is nothing that you can do.
Everyone makes mistakes even big companies.
If your employer was smart they would keep their employees happy by giving out draws to people until their regualar check arives.

no probably not, because usually the checks are mailed to your company from the "headquaters" and just because you didnt get your paycheck doesnt mean its the company's fault. They could have sent out the check like normal and the mail could be slow. i wouldnt worry, now if you dont get ur check after say three or four days, then i would do something about it.

do you want to lose your job??? even if you could take legal action, you would probably lose your job in the process. if it happened once, get over it. if it is a regular thing, talk to your supervisor. be upfront about things, and stop trying to get something for nothing
