Ice skating or even roller skating is a good idea. There's always the movies or going out to eat somewhere new and not too pricey. Check your community newspaper maybe something different is happening that day like a community college play or concert. They are often inexpensive.

Note to another answerer. The relationship is fine. They go to the same school, thus are close in age. The Mom is aware of the friendship.

He is 14 but how old are you? Usually when people stick one age and not the other, there is a problem. What you do depends on if it is an appropriate couple. But Ice Skating sounds great.

You can go online on the computer and search for games or something else to do. You can also buy a gift or make a card before Valentines day and when the day come, you can give it to him.

You can go to ask.com for some ideas.

Happy valentines day and good luck!
