It's lithium, density 0·534 g/cm3.

Second lightest is potassium, at 0·862 g/cm3, followed by sodium, at 0·971 g/cm3.

At least one answerer gave aluminium as the lightest. It isn't ! At 2·698 g/cm3, it's quite some way down the list.

I go with Hydrogen although as someone else mentioned it is not metallic at the conditions on the earths surface.
