Wow, for the sake of humanity I really hope this post is a joke.
If you really are serious your child is still a baby. 10 months old is very early for a child to walk. You can't make him walk. Invest in a sling (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_sling) or a stroller if you can't carry him. He'll only walk when he is ready.
As for food - your child should still be getting the majority of his nutrients from breastmilk or formula. There is a reason he doesn't have a mouth full of teeth yet -because he's not ready to really eat! And there is absolutely nothing nutritious about hot cocoa. If you really think he might be slow, you should start looking at what you are feeding him. He'll only grow that brain of his with healthy nutrient foods (like your formula, fruits, vegetables, yogurt, etc). Nobody ever got "smart" from eating tacos and drinking cocoa.
I don't even know what to say about being annoyed at "chilling" everything. Again he's a baby. You need to really check yourself and read a parenting book or something. I really hope this is a joke.

Don't be such a jackass! He is a BABY......maybe you shouldn't have had a child, or maybe he would be better off with someone that will give him a little understanding. Your expectations for this child are way too high. I have rarely heard of a child walking that early, of course it is possible, but it's rare. Don't be so hard on him and maybe spend some time just loving him instead of pushing him to be above average. And just because he will not walk yet or eat hot foods yet, does not render him slow. That is so damn mean of you as a parent. You need to be educated a little bit. Poor baby

I am guessing this is your first child.
You can not force a baby to walk and it does not mean that he is slow. My son would not walk until he was almost 14 months old and now at 8 years old he is at the top of his class. I would suggest to you some parenting classes..you do not feed a baby chili sauce or tacos. Maybe he thinks that cold foods are the safest thing to eat that you feed him maybe he has his own taste buds and may not like the things you are feeding him..after all he is a baby!

You shouldn't try to force him to eat anything hot. By hot I mean either spicy or temperature wise. at 10 months it's still a baby, make sure the food is warm not hot, the beverages as well.
The way you sound you're are just not a very patient parent, sick of this sick of that. It's a baby for God's sake, you are the adult here try to be patient and care for the child and be mature about it all.
He is slow alright : he is only 10 months dammit ..what? you already expect him to run the Boston Marathon or something !?!?!?!
Warm food and beverages only and stay away from spices.

I would probably hold off on the chili and hot dogs at ten months because those foods could cause choking and possibly acid reflux. Is he spitting or drooling a lot? Some babies don't walk untill they are one year old, he will too at his own pace. If you still feel uneasy then bring these concerns to your doctor at your babys next check up. Go easy on the little guy and if you don't want to carry him try getting down on his level and playing with him.

He doesnt sound slow to me. My daughter started taking steps at 11 mos and was able to walk and fall at a year old. Dont force him to walk. He will do it when hes ready. As much as your sick and tired of carrying him , he is your son and you need to understand that you need to do things for your child even if your sick of doing it. Im a mother of 2 and believe me, i get so sick and tired of doing a lot of things, but i have to do them. Thats what we do. Rather than sit there and complain about your son, cherish him at the stage hes at. He will start walking soon and you will remember and miss the days you held him all the time. I know it sounds crazy now but its so true.
And about the hot food dilemma...i wouldnt worry about that. He just has a preference for cold food. No biggy.

Wow are you 15 and just a child yourself? I can't belive that you even posted this . What kind of a parent are you? If you don't know yet a 10 month old is just a baby. Boy do I feel sorry for this child. I am not even going to answer your question. I do suggest that you go get some parenting classes.

Don't feel bad lot of kids don't walk at 10 month or even at 12. When my daughter had doctor visit and she was 9 month old at the time (but she started walking at 9 month) and doctor said some baby's don't start to walk till 18 month can you believe that, that's slow, not your baby...i have friend her baby start to walk at 12 month some baby's start to walk sooner some later...and about hot food maybe he doesn't like warm food and don't give him cold as ice food as well, talk to your doctor about it and maybe he can help you what to feed the baby...good luck

Its just a 10 month baby!!! have some patience wont you???...if you being the parent are going to behave like this then i wonder how he will be treated by others....dont go round saying 'slow' to/about a 10 month baby....just be patient....if you are concerned about hot/cold food take baby to the Dr and follow the instructions.
Every baby grows and develops and his/her own rate...my nephew walked for the first time on his first bday....my niece was 14 months when she started....
