It's excellent! My favourite stuff is the very early Tyrannosaurus Rex. With Steve Took, before he choked to death on a cherry pip, not a rock and roll way to die early is it! My favourite album is Slider and I couldn't begin to list my favourite songs, I would run out of space! There are one or two that make me cringe though like his Christmas one and Sing Me A Song. When I was little I sang Jeepster all the time and my mum used to call me Jeepy and it's stuck with me all these years. Actually, I can name my most favourite song-Eastern Spell.

I think it has worn well, but is bubblegum stuff. However, it is fun and danceable, so works well if you are in the right mood. Marc Bolan had an unique sound and was also quite outrageously cute.

I like "Ride A White Swan" as the previous answerer, also "I Love To Boogie" (very effectively used in the movie "Billy Elliott"), "Get It On, "Children Of The Revolution" and his cute poppy stuff.

I found some great links about Marc Bolan so you can find out more.

The first one is a very comprehensive list of links for Bolan, the second takes you Marc Bolan on YouTube - I had loads of fun watching these old clips myself :) - so thanks for asking the question. I urge anyone that isn't familiar with Bolan to click on the youtube link - pop bubblegum heaven :)

I love Lifes A Gas. But then again I was a huge Bolan fan in my teenage years, he was so different to anyone else at the time. His music may take some time to get used to, but I assure you its good

It depends on your own personal taste. If you are into folk poetry, then I think you would like it.
It really is one of the sounds of late 60's early 70's
