hello i have a very stange prob i think. i am not able to work on my comp what happens is that initially it starts comming up my OS will be booted and after some time may be around 2-3 min it automatically shuts down what is the prob with my comp

Start up your computer then press f10 and start in safe mode. If it is able to start then you can rule out hardware failure.
Have you put anything in new in your computer or did the problem just happen.
If it just happened, then sounds like you may have problems with power supply or even a video card. I had my graphics card on the bottom and I do not know what happened but one day the computer kept shutting off. I changed the card to the top slot and now no problem.
About the best I can do with the info you gave.

The usual causes for random shutdowns are:
1)Overheating triggers auto-shutdown to protect the CPU;
2)Memory module going bad;
3)Power supply going bad.

It might simply be dirt inside.
