Ask your doctor. If you're driving you need to make sure you stop every hour or 2 to get out and walk around. In my opinion, it just sounds like a bad idea... but I'm no doctor.

Safe- not any more or less safe than driving down the road to the gas station... now comfortable? that's a totally different question! You won't be very comfortable. Also, you could be in labor at any time and it's strongly recommended to not go far from your hospital after 36 wks. How important is it to you that you deliver with your dr at your hospital? It was very important to me. Heck, you may have already delivered by then.

Dr's normally do not advise that. At that gestation you can really go into labor at any time.
If your dr checks you and gives you the go ahead then go.
IF you feel you have to go then you should make sure to bring lots of water and stay hydrated. Dehydration can put you into labor.
Also it is reccommended you get out and walk for 10 to 15 minutes every 100 miles about every 1 1/2 hr. To prevent leg cramps.

Well if you do not mind having your baby in a strange place.. go.. cause more than likely all that driving and sitting will cause you to go into labor. What does your doctor think you should do? You are not suppose to be sitting your standing long periods of time in your last trimester. Think you need to re-plan that visit till after the baby is born. It will the safest thing to do.

If you are having a trouble-free pregnancy it should be a problem! But be prepared by this stage you are going to be big and uncomforatble, you are going to have to pee alot, and take lots of rest breaks, if u think u can handle being squashed in the car, then goo for it!
But i 35wks now, and driving / or even passanger in the car for 15mins has me in pain!

There is No Way that any medical professional (OB or Midwife) would give you permission or even encourage you to go on a trip like that, that late in your pregnancy!
Think again...plan the trip after your baby is born

I would only go if it's an emergency. You never know when that baby will enter the world. ANY TIME!

Make sure you know where the closest hospital is and the quickest way to get there.
