Why does every ethnicity have a "History Month" and if you say anything about celebrating being"white" we are called racist, white trash,KKK, etc...? Just why is there not a month to celebrate "Western White" culture? And no not white power etc..?

i think its because automatically the default race is white. everything is pointed white-its the accepted norm. it does seem a little unfair and can be viewed as racist having hispanic history month and black history month, but we live in a nation where being a minority is a handicap and an automatic mark against you in life-even though we can all deny it, it really is in some way/shape/form.
i dont think that having one month out of the year where we can focus on the achievements of the underdogs really hurts. the people really running this country are white. the least they can do is give minorities some acknowledgement once in a while.
i think that, just like mothers day and valentines day, these minority months are crocks of ****-there should be awareness year round, but americans are too self-involved to keep constant mindfulness of others. so we break it down into small time frames like secretarys day and aids awareness month.
meh. we suck as people.

Veltgen, I have my daughters history and S.S. books out looking for that black history taught in school. Still looking.Sh*t this could take a long time I'll have to get back to you
I've said it before and I'll say it again nothing wrong with white pride. I dont care if you march down main street chanting white and proud provided your not wearing white sheets with KKK across your chest or carrying flags with swatsikas on them . Both symbols of oppression based on race and religion.

You'll need to get the work history somewhere else. Employers who hire temp agencies have work that needs to be done right away, and they need someone (1) capable of doing the work, and (2) not so likely to bail at the drop of a hat. Six months at a "real" job is a good sign that you're ready.

Hit the history book and maybe that will give you an insight as to why you really don't deserve a history month. The events of the pilgrims and Native Americans, en-slavery, all those wars with other countries! When have white people really suffered in history? Never..they are the ones who always contribute to the suffering in the world. Plus you have white history all year round! St.Patrick's Day, 4th of July, President's Day(there were and aren't any black presidents so therefore that is a white celebration), etc. Face it everyone knows that white people basically run the world.

Because Western European history is the only one that had a place in education for hundreds of years. The idea of various history months came about to try to remedy the problem of Eurocentrism. Now, history tends to be more inclusive by comparison. A large amount of progress has been made regarding the history of the world as it's taught in the "Western" nations.
I'm Eastern Cherokee, so frankly I don't see why anyone else but us has the right to whine about anything. Yet you don't see me doing that now do you?

well that would be redundant wouldn't it be. Sure the white supremacy was popular back then, but a lot of whites today refuse to celebrate that. where as blacks are proud of the accomplishments of the past. Just like every other culture. I think that you guys should just stick to St. Patrick's Day

I wish I could show you a school history book and you will read about all about Western white culture. Everything that was taught was about what the whites doing this, blah blah. Then for one month we finally look at Black people accomplishments and you want to complain about this? Shut your mouth and let us be proud of ourselves!!!

The minorities claim that whites are so all-powerful and dominant that anything having to with general culture is white. Their reasoning is that all months are "white" months.

Because the White world (ie historically White countries -- USA, Canada, European nations, Australia, NZ) are taught to hate themselves and their people and that immigration of non-Whites is a net benefit.
Startlingly enough, you do not see Asia, Africa, the Middle East and other areas of the globe embracing such racial suicide policies.
"Hit the history book and maybe that will give you an insight as to why you really don't deserve a history month. The events of the pilgrims and Native Americans, en-slavery, all those wars with other countries!"
Funny how it hasn't stopped non-Whites from using our technology.
Excuse me but slavery has existed in Africa for thousands of years. Whites abolished slavery, slavery still exists (and always has) existed in Africa.
Wars with other countries? How ignorant are you, look at the entire world. Have you not heard of Chaka Zulu who ran around slaughtering neighboring tribes?
Whites gave Blacks technology, a civilization, a written language. And we still get flack for it. If they hate Whites so much they need to go back to hunting large game with spear because at the end of the day they know they would have nothing if it wasn't for Whites.
