Many of those diet pills work by excreting water from your body, hence you lose a significant amount of weight. However, it's just water, and that water will not stay away. Once you resume your normal eating pattern without those pills, you'll be back where you started -- and further increasing your anxiety. The most effective way to lose weight is by diet and exercise. And note when I say diet, I don't mean anything that lasts a month or so, I mean an eating regime that lasts for the rest of your life. Consistency is always the key. And if you want it bad enough, you can do it. Just don't go down the route that so many have gone -- and fallen -- before you. It may be a tedious progress, but I guarentee you'll better physically and mentally (because of what you accomplished).

Honestly, Dancing is so good for burning fat. I got Denise Austins tapes...I have three of them. Core Complete, Dance your fat away, and pilates, and she is really good. I have only done it for like three weeks now, and I already lost a pants size. I do one tape every other day. Of course I eat healthy too.
But I have heard a lot about Dance Dance revolution too. I just got one on overstock auctions, for $19.99 and it plugs right in to your t.v so you dont need the xbox to play it. I haven't tried it yet but my friend lost 25 lbs just doing that.

Cardio, cardio, cardio, cardio, and um cardio. :)
Try walking, jogging, running, swimming, biking, etc. It is best for burning fat.
