I've got a really bad Limewire connection too. Whats going on...?

god them other answers are wounderfull i meen my modem on the carpet right near the plug socket and i have no trouble what so ever
all you got to do is delete your cookies defrag and run a system check and free up a little memory unneaded files like music file and films

Your telephone connection might be bad. If you get too much RF interference that could be a possibility. Maybe at the source of the connection they may be having problems.

Also, you need to run a virus check. Data miner virus will slow it down, clogging the memory up.

You may need more memory. When I first got my computer, I only had 256 and it gradually got slow. Put in a 1 Gb good as new now.

It's limewire thats causing your broadband connection slow. Get rid of limewire and start again and your connection will speed up.

I had Limewire and it slowed my pc down and I got a virus Get rid of Limewire !!! and do a virus scan.

Check your WAN activity. This happens to me every now and then. Going to certain sites will trigger all sorts of incoming network packets. What I wind up doing is restarting my modem and internet connection in order to obtain a new IP address.

Your router should have logs you can check to see if this is indeed happening.

chk EMI ( electromagnetic interference ) on your modem ( modem should be 3ft away from any electronic device, not on carpeted surface, not near to any lamp or not near to any cordless phone ) // chk on these

try turning off your modem for 20 secs...

if these wont work call ISP tech support
