Congratulations on you special blessing.
It does happen. As long as you are eating healthy, it is okay.
I had one pregnancy where I would lose one month gain the next up and down. Weighed 231 when preganat and 230 after. Had a baby and lost a pound. Great.
My dr said the baby would get his nutrients no matter what, and as long as I was nto throwing up a lot then it was ok.

Yeah it is. During your 1st trimester... you'll have your morning sickness.
With the fact that you won't be able to hold anything down and can't stand the smell of certain foods, your could lose some weight.
Your baby will get whatever nutrients that it needs from you. Even though you may be losing weight.
You should gain it later on in your pregnancy. But make sure that you stay hydrated. Drink a lot of water especially if you are exercising.
If you are worried, go to the doctor. That way you won't be stressed out and both you and baby will be okay and happy.
Good Luck!

Sweetie everything is fine. I'm 14 weeks and and before I even got pregnant I was 107lbs. I would be embarrassed to tell someone that I now only weigh 92 pounds but from the look of me you would never be able to tell without putting me on a scale :).Beside it's normal to lose then gain. But I was once like you very concerned because I thought you were suppose to gain weight during pregnancy but all pregnancies are different and many ways. I honestly wouldn't worry about it if your eating well and drinking plenty of fluids especially water! And trust me I work up a big appetite and only eat about 4 forks full and i'm completely done. Don't worry or stress yourself out, it's normal. good luck :)

It depends what weight you were to start with. If you were already normal weight or under weight then perhaps you need to speak to your doctor but if you were a little over weight the extra energy that goes into making the baby, and possible a change in your eating habits, or if you are vomiting might cause weight loss. With my second child I ended up 14lbs lighter after I had her than I was before I got pregnant.
It's probably best to discuss it with your doctor on your next check up, that's what they are their for after all. But unless you are seriously underweight it's probably nothing to worry about.
congratulations on the pregnancy.

It is normal to lose weight during your first trimester. One of the reasons may be morning sickness. Also your body is now giving alot of your nutrients to the baby. As long as the baby continues to grow normally it is ok if you lose weight. I was pregnant with twins and some months a lost weight, some months I gained weight, and some months I stayed the same. Alot of women lose weight in the first trimester, it will be later that you start to put on the pounds. If this concerns you too much contact your doctor. Hope this helps

It's normal to lose a little in the first trimester, due to "morning sickness" but if the sickness is really bad talk to your doctor about it. In my first pregnancy I was sick all the time, I ended up losing about 15 lbs before my doctor told me to go to the ER where they put me on IV fluids. After that I wasn't sick again, and I gained all the weight back.
