C = (F - 32) * 5/9
C = (47 - 32) * 5/9
C = 15 * 5/9
C = 8.3333 or 8 1/3

there's a way to get an pretty close approximation:
minus 30 from the f. temp and then divide that number in half. example: 47-30=17 17/2= 8.5. so if it's 100 degrees f it's 35 degrees celcius.
