No. Most of the questions on here have far more to do with culture than family. Quite a few of them are sexual, not something that's generally considered family friendly. Besides, we're still free to post family related questions to the families and relationships area.

good point. maybe perhaps it has to do with the fact as its under cultures and groups, yahoo! sees LGBT as some sort of 'culture'; i.e, gay culture. and haven't anybody noticed that the majority of the questions posted in the family and relationships section are predominately from straight people and are of which hetrosexual related? that is something that i just noticed myself

I think it needs to be in both places.

We get questions about things like coming out, what a given word means, how to treat relatives, politics, etc. So it can't *all* be relationship stuff, unfortunately.

Yahoo is a wholly owned US company. The US does not acknowledge LGBT as a familial grouping, a holdover from the Christian Right. It's not fair but that, at the moment, is the way it is.

I wish it were not so but.................

I've noticed that before. I assumed it's because they don't see it as valid or equal to straight families and relationships. Just more as a fad.
