Leave tips for good service and keep it only on the amount of the service not taxes included or any extras that the hotel adds to your bill like telephone or bar fees. Americans have more or less made 15 % the correct amount but depending on service given 10 to 15% is reasonable in restaurants. If on the other hand you are on a budget, brought your own bags up in the elevator then no tip is required as the bill for staying in some of these places is rather much anyway. Just don't steal their towels or glasses.

The way I do, it depends on how good the service that
I get.
If I don't have to wait long to place my order, the waiter/waitress
is pleasant, food is HOT and served with a smile, you get the idea!
I'll leave 20 to 30 % of the bill.
If I get bad service,either 10% or if it's really bad...nothing!
Also,if the waitress acknowledges me,also,( even tho I'm with a
man),extra tip.
The thing I HATE about the South,is that most of the time,
a waitress assumes that the man is paying....therefore the lady
is ignored! and the best service is given to the man!
When I'm paying and THIS happens...you can bet...I let
HER see me pay...and I don't leave a tip.
As for tipping in hotels...it would depend on what service
you receive.

the tip is different in all areas. Some states include the tip in the bill. So when you get seated ask the host if your bill will include the tip and what is the state standard. Of course when I do get great service an great food I will tip maybe $20 on a $50 meal. And you guessed it the waiter and staff will remember a good tipper for your next visit.

tip on serves. how they was with u. did they check up on u, did they have a attitude, was it done in a timely manner. stuff like that. me my self if i think my serve sucks u don't get nothing not because I'm a tight wad. my aunt on the other hand gives a percentage of the bill like u are to give them. even if the serves does suck. it depends on the person though that giving. if they were all right u get a buck. i have had good waiters and waitress that where really good. and i dont know if anyone took notice to this but i have a man (waiters) i think are better then (females) there nicer the check up and eveything. but have some good ones that where females! hotels pretty much the same but with them u dont really know if it was really cleaned or not. etc

Dear,
In India the min. salary of a waiter is around Rs 4500/-(in a star hotel) and they earn tips around 3000/- after 15 hours(Parties, banquettes and pubs) a long and pain full shift. if you are having something in a restaurant and you want to pay some tips. So you mind something
1. Time of service
2. Quality of food
3.Grooming
4.Hygiene
If you found every things is excellent so you have to give @25% of bill
Good @15% of bill
Poor >>>>>> No need to give tips

In tourist restaurants or hotels a 10% service charge is often added to bills, in which case there is no need to tip. In smaller places, where tipping is optional, you need only tip a few rupees, not a percentage of your bill. It is customary to tip waiters, porters, guides and drivers.

tipping is an particularly very own ingredient. relies upon on the form of provider u have have been given. if u do no longer in basic terms like the provider offered u do no longer could leave a tip of 15% or 20%. reckoning on the corporation u have visited the information fluctuate. in many cases a 10% tip is sufficient in India in all the inns & eating places. preserving that for the duration of innovations u can strengthen or shrink the top reckoning on the provider u have have been given. yet sure, if u plan to bypass to the comparable place lower back, make certain to leave slightly extra suitable so as that u get the two an equivalent provider or extra appropriate than they offered before. use your very own discretion in spite of each little thing u are the superb choose.

As a former server myself I know that those servers are depending on your tips to pay their bills. So i usually leave a min. of 5 dollars when my boyfriend and i go out but we have left as much as $10 before. the way the server presents themselves is a large portion of how we tip, but as resturant workers we know that things such as food quality is not the servers fault and don't hold them accountable. So really if your server is trying to make an effort no matter how slow the service you will know.

If shes good 25% 20 % is standard for a good one. 15 % min added to the tab, if not added think about the service, send a message if necessary, if shes a newbie cut her some slack. A good waitress/ server will bust their butt to take care of you ,but arrogance to me is a factor. Brunhilda gets less than a newbie, thats trying. You have to follow your heart,is she trying or expecting to be compensation. Please be fair, I always am
