Can I talk to my friend who has Skype using my MSN Messenger.

I don't know anything about Skype, so my question is, is that possible?

I think you can only use one or the other iv used both, but i went from using msn to skype , but having said that I'm sure there is a connection between them both anyway' isn't there, But otherwise i would just recommend using skype anyway its better.

Unfortunately, no. This is one of the annoying facts of life when open standards aren't used. It wouldn't be very hard at all for the companies to make this possible, but each makes their own special communication protocol and tends to keep it hidden and prevent others from working with their client. (Granted, they would claim that it would be a bad business choice for them to allow other companies to gain control by telling them their communication protocol, given that they are footing the bill for the servers involved. However, the jabber communication protocol works with it and Google seems to think they can be successful with such a strategy...)
