I fed my dog leftover Mexican restaurant food before I left this morning. I'll probably come home to a stinky house this evening : P

OMG...do you have no sense at all? So...you had the money to go out but not to buy dog food? Nice.

Mexican food, with the spices and cheese, could seriously upset your dogs digestive tract. And it's not cute or funny.

Go to the store and buy dog food, or consider giving the dog to someone who can care for it.

My husky loves it when her food bowl is empty and the bag is too! She plops herself in the middle of the kitchen and goes into her 'I'm starving' performance.

She gets the ends of the bread loaf, leftovers, whatever it takes to shut her up! It's a game with her.

I usually have another bag of food here within a few hours. All the woo-woo-woo (this husky 'talks' instead of barks) she does gets on the nerves after awhile.

Oh, and when I fill up her food bowl with the new food? She gets a look of total disappointment. Snubs the food and goes to sleep. Not that she's spoiled or anything!

OMG if I did that to my dog I'd have stink bombs coming at me for 3 days. I normally am good about not running out but the answer to your question is yes I have. I've actually made her scrambled eggs with cheese for breakfast. She's so fussy she wouldn't eat the buttered toast though!

Yeah, I have. But I work for a no-kill animal shelter now. I have learned that onions, garlic, grapes, raisins are all bad for our pets. Also, we are willing to help people help feed their dogs when they are having difficulties. Call some of your local shelters or rescue groups. They might help and ease the burden on you. We just want pets to stay in their homes.

You get out what you put in! I have had to improvise the odd time but i did my best to never run out of food. Don't go out and buy the biggest bag you can because by the time you get to the bottom of it. it will be stale. Use the smaller bags (10lbs). Oh and have fun cleaning up after the dog has gotten rid of his burrito!!!

I have ran out of can. I feed her dry/can mixed together. I made her rice/chicken and mixed it in with her dry. She loved it so much I couldn't get her to eat can food.

actually, since most brand name dog foods have all sorts of bad things in them (like chicken beaks, feet, old discarded restaurant lard, etc) you are probably doing your dog a favor. Just do like the high school cafeterias, call it "Fiesta Day" or something, it will never know...Hey, at least you fed him/her, and are doing your part to help out. ;)
