DO NOT cover up a pimple with concealer. It makes it worse. WAY worse. If you're just using it to tint your skin in a large area, rub the liquid concealer in your hands for a second, and then smooth it onto your face. That redness may be dryness and you should stop putting concealer on it and try a gentle facial lotion.

get a concealer that specifically says it is for acne..even though it is best to let a pimple get air, i know it's hard not to cover it up. get a concealer that has acne medication in it and is oil free like the Acne Solutions Concealing Stick by clinique--it works great! Follow with powder. For large areas, use an oil free foundation and ALWAYS take all makeup off and wash your face with a medicated face wash and follow with toner--I love the Loreal Purezone line..it has both steps, it's very inexpensive and it works great! Good luck!

If the pimple is fresh, then it's best not to apply another makeup or concealer on it because it block the air from reaching the pimple and delay any healing process. Use concealer when the pimple is dried up and there is a scar.

Ditto to what Dayna said.

Also, I think that Eucerin has a Redness Relief skincare line that you can get at the drugstore; maybe that would help. Make sure that you are exfoliating only 2 or 3 times a week or it will just increase dryness and redness. Some makeup lines have green tinted makeup to get rid of redness.

I recommend a cream concealer (usually come in tubes) and dot some on the top of your hand and rub it a little to warm it up. Apply it to the spots - dot with your ring finger then use a brush to apply your compact over it, then brush over the rest of your face. Using a brush to apply your make-up may also help with the uneven redness.

for best results, apply foundation with a foundation brush, and concealer with a concealer brush. the redness might go away after you put the foundation. then use the concealer to cover up the little spots that the foundation didnt cover. then use a powder brush to apply your powder to get the flawless look. hope this helps!

hmm.. cover up is used for covering up a pimple and concealer is used for under eye darkness... I dont think your supposed to use concealers to cover up redness.. I think coverup will help that issue.

Do not use liquid cover up because this tends to make your face break out more. I use a mousse concealer and that works better because it looks more natural!! good luck
