Although I know next to nothing about baseball I'll try. In cricket there are 'stumps' or 'wickets', the batsmen has to defend these, if they are hit by the bowl thrown by the 'bowler' during a 'bowl' then he is out. A batsmen can also be out if he is caught (like in baseball), runout, or by l.b.w which will take hours to explain. In a test macth which takes place over 5 days each team has 2 innings which consits of 10 wickets (10 batsmen to be got out). the score is counted by how many times the 2 batsmen run beetween the wickets, therefore if you crack the ball a mile it will give you more time to run (like in baseball fielders collect the ball). 'runs' (points) can also be gained if the ball reaches the 'boundray' a rope which encircles the pitch, 4 runs if it passes and 6 if it passes without bouncing. Finally bowlers bowl overs (6 bowls) before swapping.

Hmmm... lets see...
Baseball: 9 Innings, Cricket: 2 Innings (or one depending on version)
BB: One batter at a time, Cricket: 2 Batsmen at a time
BB: Limited number of pitches per hitter, Cricket: Unlimited unitl you are 'out'
BB: Once you run, you do not hit again, Cricket: You continue hitting runs until you are out
BB: 3 outs per innings, Cricket: 10 outs per innings
BB: Pitcher can pitch as many as reqd, Cricket: Bowler can only bowl 6 at a time, then has to alternate with someone else
BB: Can only hit in a 135 degree(ish) range in front of you, Cricket: Can hit in any direction
BB: Rounded bat swung horizontally, Cricket: A flat bat swung vertically or horizontally.
BB: A heck of a lot more money to be made by players!
Thats a start...

There are several differences- 1 The size of the ball. A baseball is much smaller than a softball. 2 Baseball games are nine innings Softball seven innings. 3 Bats Baseball bats are larger near the hitting end while softball bats maintain a even width towards the end of the bat. 4 Number of players. Slow pitch softball uses 10 players on defense while baseball and fast pitch softball use nine. 5 Base paths softball uses 65 foot base paths while baseball uses 90 foot base paths 6 The field Baseball diamonds usually have grass infields and greater distances to the outfield fences while softball has dirt infields and shorter fences

The main differences between cricket and baseball are listed below:
1) In baseball, the visiting team always bats first. In cricket, who bats first is chosen by the team winning a coin toss.
2) In baseball, the terminology is "one inning, many innings". In cricket, it is "one innings, many innings".
3) In baseball, an inning refers to both teams' turns at bat. Each individual team's turn at bat is a half inning. In cricket, an innings usually refers to each individual team's turn at bat. "The first innings" may refer to either the first innings of team A, or team B, or the first innings of both teams considered together - the difference is understood by context.
4) In baseball, you cannot simply declare your inning to be over. You wouldn't want to anyway - there's no tactical reason. In cricket, you may declare your innings closed to avoid taking up too much time.
4) In baseball, extra innings are added to break tied scores. In cricket, ties stand. Baseball also does not have the concept of a draw caused by running out of time.
5) In baseball, the ball is live between pitches. Runners may steal bases, and may be tagged out. In cricket, the ball is dead between balls. Batsmen may not steal runs, and may not be run out.
6) In baseball, a ball is one possible result of a pitch. In cricket, ball refers to the analogue of a baseball pitch. Every time the bowler bowls, it is a ball. A ball may also called a delivery.
7) In baseball, all fielders wear catching gloves. In cricket, only the wicket-keeper is allowed to wear gloves. Everyone else has to catch the ball in their bare hands. The bowler is analagous to a baseball pitcher. The wicket-keeper is analagous to a baseball catcher.
8) In baseball, the batter must stand within the batter's box. In cricket, the batsman may stand anywhere he likes.
9)In baseball, the batter holds his bat over his shoulder, cocked ready to swing, and swings horizontally. In cricket, the batsman holds his bat with the end on the ground near his toes, requiring a backswing before swinging to hit the ball, and usually swings vertically.
10)In baseball, the pitcher stands still and throws the ball. The batter is 18.44m (60' 6") away. In cricket, the bowler runs up and bowls the ball. The batsman is 17.68m (58') away.
11)In baseball, if one runner is out, the ball is still live and the fielding team may attempt a double play. In cricket, as soon as one batsman is out, the ball is dead, so double plays cannot be made.
12) In baseball, one pitcher pitches until he is relieved, then (usually) leaves the game. A succession of pitchers may pitch, but none return to pitch again. In cricket, bowlers rest in the field while other players bowl. They can then return to bowl more later.
