There's no need to take the risk of illegally downloading "free" songs (and most likely viruses and spyware with them) when you can safely and legally buy them for $.10 - $.15 each. Full albums are less than $3.00. I've used this site for almost 2 years now and love it:

Between the two sites there are millions of songs, no software to download, and they won't put any crapware on your computer.

There is no way to download free music legally EXCEPT for this one website that allows you to do it because 'they' actually pay for the music you download. The idea is loads of people will use this website so the hits on that website are huge, thus they can demand a lot of money from advertisers and make their profit that way. (They ask you to take greater notice of the adverts though, in order to keep the advertisers advertising!) One problem though, I forgot the website xD It was on the BBC around 18months ago.

get limewire then when u have installed basic do a search on limewire for pro as it is alot faster.it isnt illegal to download things from limewire it is tho to open the folder containing the item.i dont care as i use limewire and iam lookin for vista @ the mo

garageband.com has a lot of free samples of bands (full tracks) and the same goes for the podsafe music network.

I know everyone is saying limewire, and trust me that is a good program, but its really slow compared to BEARSHARE. Bear share is really fast and its safe! TRUST ME ULL LOVE IT! XD

Limewire mate.AND IT HAS BOT GOT VIRUSES! thats just a roomer.I downlaoded it the other night and its fine.Trust me!

go to aboutmusic.com. it is non commercial and it lists sites that are legal and also free too.
