the advertisers must turn down the volume (literally) of the sound on their tv commercials. i use the tv remote more to mute commercials than to switch channels. i admit that tv commercials are entertaining (unless they are muted by me). i will not watch and listen to tv commercials at all because they are all too loud and MUST be muted. and because i'm not watching the tv commercials, i leave the room to do something else during the commercials and i may come back if i'm not distracted doing something else. tv advertisers are destroying the effectiveness of their ads by turning up their loudness...they will only keep my attention on the commercials and tv programming if they turn down the tv commercial volume.

Engman is right ,the ads on T.V.,the commercials are so loud that all of us have to keep the tone on mute.Secondly, nowdays the commercials are too sex oriented, the sponsors forget the viewers include children and its not too good for them. The vulgarity and skimpy, revealing dresses of the models and the baring of the bodies by the male models are low for the morales of our youngsters. Some ads are rather irrelevant to the products. Why not have catchy slogans, more scenic backgrounds and instead of vulgarity display lay stress on the quality of the products.

The sponsors should realise that if your product is good and genuine there is no need to attract attention through loud, sexy models. Are their ad departments short of good writers? If so, invite the public to a competition where they can avail of the best slogans at low cost.
