I personally like them but my 'friends' find great pleasure in mocking them....so i have to ask...what is so wrong (or right) with placebo in your opinion?

i love placebo!!!!
i love his voice and the songs all seem to be beautiful in differant ways....
i like placebo because they're differant, and there doesn't seem to be other bands like them.

I thought their first album was pretty cool and the bits of Meds I've heard sounded pretty good. A lot of their stuff does seem to be quite samey, i know that could be cos i haven't heard it enough, but there does seem to be a bit of repetition thing going on with them that probably puts off some people.
Brian Molko's probably one one of those people you either want to smack or get all weird and obsessed about too. Don't think you could have a neutral opinion on him (much like Marmite).
They seem to be very serious and intense all the time and that may be why your mates knock them. If they looked a little more up for a laugh they mightn't be a target?

Theres nothing wrong with them some people just do not like there music.Imagine if we all liked the same music we would be bored in seconds.

i love placebo, just coz there different dosent make them bad, one of the greatest songs of all time is 'every me every you' how can no one like that song its great!

I dont think theres anything wrong with them. Brian Molko is a babe and I love his voice. I find their music good quality and never average and dull. Yep, theyre good

Isn't a placebo something thats fake! eg. a fake pill to make you feel better.............so does this means you're kiddin yourself and hopin things will get better? Takin a pink coloured smartie and thinkin it's a pain-killer!It's all in the mind :(

They're only a band, leave them be, at least they have talent unlike the hip-hop "Artists" that are coming out fo the woodwork! If you like them, you enjoy them!

there is nothing wrong with them. i hadnt heard any of their songs 'til my friend got me the album now a think they are great.
