So you have a 30 liter tank?

Shubunkins grow at a rapid rate and can grow as large as 10" You are maxed out already. keep an eye on your nitrate level and remember to do a 20% water change weekly. You may eventually have to find another tank since your shubunkins will continue to grow over the course of their life. (which by the way could be in excess of 25 years.)

Also, the rule of thumb here is not 1"=1gallon. That is a pet store trick and false. a 30 gallon tank cannot hold 30 inches of fish. Consider water displacement for gravel and decorations you are looking at 25-26 gallon tank. Also, you cannot keep let's say 3 10" oscars in this tank even though it equals to 30". All fish are different and Shubunkins are classified Pond fish. 1" of fish to 1Square foot of surface water. or 1 pound of fish per 10 gallons of water.

It is Shubunkin. And you are over your limit. I know the fish look small, but they still produce a lot of ammonia and nitrites and the tank cycle won't be able to handle any more bioload. You add more fish and the water will build up toxins.
Can you tell us the measurements of your tank? I'm sure its less than US 20 gallons.

The real answer is how big the fish will get. Three 1.5 inch fish may look barren in your tank now, but these guys get big fast with regular feeding. Your at a good number know, who knows, you may end up with a breeding trio!?!

The maximum total size of your fish shoould be no more then your tank size. So 30 gallons you can have 30 inches of fish.
When your buying fish, check to see their maximum size. If they grow to be 5 inches, then 6 fish would be you max.
