lol... it sure seems that way doesn't it??? i wondered when luke was coming back too so that they can start winning regularly again! hahahaha.
no... but seriously it really isnt just luke not playing that is the issue. the lakers have struggled a bit on the road all season, especially losing to poor teams like the grizzlies, bobcats, and hornets. it is true though that luke fits in very nicely in their system. one thing they are missing from him are the extra assists that come from his great passing and ability to find people with his good court vision. they are also without a really good defender. however they're not missing much with his offense because before his injury he struggled with his shots. hopefully when he comes back he will be better and help out the lakers more.

Walton is a good player who fits into their system well but he is not the only reason why they have been losing recently. The Lakers just have had some tough games but they'll bounce back. Having Odom in there, now they will have to adjust it.

They are still learning how to play with the young(inexperienced) players and the system coach wants them to play in...injuries have changed the dynamic of the team (Odom, Brown out for a number of games) but gave other players a chance to get valuable minutes to learn and grow, doc and mitch made a decision to retool the team around kobe, although they took a lot of flak from it, it is the right move and the team will be better off in coming years. One must remember that doc has done this twice now since buying the team 5 titles in the 80s and the 3 most recent...but ive personally heard him say "I love when we run...like when we were showtime"...and you cant run unless you have young legs. Theyre an improving team and kobe is learning to get everyone involved...also the interior play should get better as kwame returns from his injury and bynum gets more playing time so they can play 'big' inside
