To be honest I have never bothered with the parental control . When my daughter was younger the PC was in the main room of the house .So I could observe all . Now she is in her teens and has a laptop so she can really go on any site . However I have always chatted to her about the dangers that are online . She is a smart kid and has shouted of me when people have spoke out of turn to her . You can't keep the unpleasant things aware from kids .

No because when I did that he had trouble going on to certain sites for homework and stuff... Besides he has access to my computer while I'm at work because that's where the good printer is, so if he really wanted to be sneaky he'd just come on to my computer... I check his browser history to see where he's gone and I check mine too just to make sure...

It's going to be hard to keep kids off sites that are inappropriate because I believe for every kid who has parental controls at home, there are going to be a couple friends that don't! So, you as a parent, have no "control" at what they're browsing at their friend's house. So you can block them all you want at home, but I think if kids really wanted to see something inappropriate, they'll find a way to be sneaky and do it.
