im planning to start a jimi hendrix tribute band. I play a made in mexico fender stratocaster, what amp is best to use in gigs?

A marshall "plexi" with 412 cab would definitely be the way to go. However, he was known to play Fender and VOX. I'd say a Fender Deluxe or Fender Twin reverb (if you are looking for a combo). If you use the Fenders (more clean)...don't forget the FUZZ FACE!

Jimi's old one !....sorry couldnt help it...you have to admit that authenticity is the best tribute you can make to another entertainer...as an ex singer, but still a writer....i cant tell you truthfully so I wont.....I do wish you luck and hope someone else will be able to help....(break a leg real soon and just be the best you can be)!!

You need to duplicate the look of his Marshall double cabinet stack. In terms of tone, get a fuzz face and a cry baby wah-wah pedal...
