I am looking to start to learn the electric guitar. I have no knowlege or experience of guitars. I am 13 years old if that makes a difference! I would also like a starter kit and pay as least as possible. Thanks in advance.

if i were you, i wouldnt buy a beginner guitar or amp...b/c it wont sound good and you will be discouraged. you should buy a guitar for at least 200-300 bucks and a 200-300 dollar amp. trust me, i started playing five weeks ago, and i bought the amp and guitar for 300 together. that was a nightmare. i wouldnt play b/c i didnt like how i sounded, i thought i sucked at playing. BUT, i returned the guitar and amp and got a guitar and amp together for 600 dollars. of course, theres alot better than that, but for me, im happy with the sound of my playing after switching.

whats the point of getting a beginner guitar when u wont stay as a beginner...u will get better,

and if you are stuck with a beginner guitar even though you are not a beginner, you will be very unhappy and will probably end up spending even more money for a better guitar later.

good luck.

You can get a killer deal at Musiciansfriend.com. Also Costco (if you have those in your town). I suggest a Fender guitar and just about any amp. Costco has these package deals....the guitar, amp, cord, tuner, strings, picks....for about 200.00. and its a really good guitar. Fenders have slim necks and they are a great investment. (even the Mexican made ones). I would never buy a guitar from a local music store when you can save tons of cash by going to Costco or Musiciansfriend.com. Get yourself a Fender Stratocaster. Stay with the Music dude....its a gift from God....not everyone gets it.

Also try americanmusical.com or ebay for starter packages.
You can't go wrong with either Gibson of Fender equipment.
