it doesnt, thats not the point. day cream is light and has sun protection, your face wont look oily and is protected from the sun. night cream is heavier and feels a bit heavier and oilier, its really good for your skin but you dont want to look like that all day! also, your skin 'behaves' differently at night, ie, it does alot of cell renewing, so you need a different cream to maximise that effect. also in the day your more active and you sweat so you need something that will stop your pores clogging

All the day cream & night cream in the market has their own function. The day cream is usually less oily and have either SPF or UV protection, it is to prevent from getting pigmentation. As for the night cream, usually are more richer is because the night time is the best for repair your skin while you sleep. The best time for repairing your skin is from 11pm to 2am.

It is not that our skin knows of any day and night but it is the temperature that makes our skin get used to In the day it is hot so the melanin in our skin increases and it grows dark so the cream has to be one that makes u fair and gives a bit moisturising and cleansing to it. But at night when all the oil comes out out of the skin a cream is required which makes our skin a bit dry so that it remains nice.

Use an oil free moisturizer like Clean and Clear Dual Action Oil Free. And step away from a cream stick foundation!! Go with something like Revlon Colorstay for oily/combo skin. You also need a powder to help absorb the oil. I use Sally Hansen Cornsilk and love it. I only have to touch up once during the day.

The night cream is richer and your skin knows because you're resting while you sleep. Unless of course you have a wild dream.

i would't say that our skin actually knows when it's day or night, but the cream would just be used for the skin 24/7.

LOL it doesn't. Night cream is often too thick and goopy to wear during the day, but it benefits your skin because when you're asleep, it won't wear off.
