I have heard so many people around me predict the unborn child's sex from their mom's appearace. for example they say if the mom is having a bright skin and looks more beautiful she will have a girl but if a mom skin become darker or less beautiful she will have a boy. Does anyone have any idea about this?
Thanks in advance.

Such tests are accurate about, oh, 50% of the time.

I think the only way to predict the sex of your baby is if you have been pregnant before. Like with my first baby i was hardly ever sick, carried low and was huge, found out it was a boy. Now with this pregnancy i was sick all the time, i would have to run to the bathroom at 4 in the morning just to vomit!! I'm carrying high and i've only really gained weight in my belly, found out it's a girl. I had a feeling i was having a girl this time because of how different i felt. I'm not sure about the skin difference but every one is different so really only you know the differences.

I have heard that a pregnant lady whose belly is in the shape of a complete round ball is bearing a son while a lady whose lower part of the belly is having the bulge is bearing a girl. Also i heard that when a baby boy is to be born the contractions are in a clock wise motion while a baby girl's birth is preceded with contractions in an anticlockwise motion.

Dont know how far its true..... but I shared what i knew.
All the best.

Its all old wifes tales. A lot of people say with a boy you carry out front and a girl you are rounder to the sides.. but its all not true.

One thing that seems to ve fairly accurate is the heartrate "wifestale" Slower heartrate (under 140) tends to be that of a boy... higher a girl

There is absolutely no way to determine a baby's gender based on the mother's appearance. Some people will claim that there are ways, but these are myths. The only way to determine gender in utero is through a sonogram, and even that isn't 100% accurate.

they are all myths..Especially the one about the heart rate I just had a baby boy last year and his was 158...My daughter was 148....So slower does not mean a boy!! Now I did get the dark patches on my face while I was pregnant with my son, I don`t remember them with my daughter..Of course there is almost 11 years in between them!! Good luck to you!!

No! That is not true! Nearly everyone has sex when they are pregnant. Losing your virginity is participating in any type of sex. (anal, vaginal, oral) The baby is not participating! The baby is not being touched!

All of them are old wives tales. It's kind of neat if you really think about it. If you want to look for more old wives tales check out this:

It's kind of a neat site to sort fact from fiction.

appearance varies from woman to woman
one proven test is this:
have mom-to-be sit down
take a cross on a chain
hold it steady above the belly (it will or will not move on it's own)
if it circles it's a girl
if it stands still it's a boy

there is no way of knowing by the physical appearance, however I have found several coincidences among my friends, their face looked very puffy when they carried a girl!!!... there is really no evidence.... just old folklore!!!
