I think everyone is familiar with the horrific atrocities being commited by the Chinese against what used to be once the sovereign nation of Tibet. According to rough U.N. estimates:
"Over 17% of Tibetans killed since Chinese invasion, over 6,500 monasteries destroyed - Genocide and torture by the Chinese continues." I fail to see how how a guy like Saddam who killed 142 shias warranted the invasion of Iraq and his subsequent execution while in Tibet 17% of its population is wiped off the faced of this earth and China doesnt even make it to the 'axis of evil list'. On the contrary they are awarded the olympics and billions of dollars of U.S. foreign investment. Is it me or is something seriously wrong with the world's so called Powers?. The video posted below is just one of many examples of how the Tibets are killed when fleeing Chinese rule which are being commited at an alarming rate unfortunately.

Economics. The U.S. & China have a thriving economic relationship (whereas our jobs are sent over to China, U.S. companies buy the products at ridiculously cheap prices, then choose not to pass the savings onto us).

Labeling them as an "axis of evil" would affect the hundreds of millions of dollars corporations save every year by producing overseas.

Hi Lioness, I tried to find "objectified" and "objectification" in the dictionary and no joy. Well, I'm not exactly sure I understand your queston, but think I might have an idea. Anyway, have you ever heard of the "bell curve"? It's a curve that is shaped like a bell and does a good job of representing statistics. As for beauty, at one end of the curve we have the least attractive and at the other end the most. The same would be true for income ... poorest on one side and richest on the other. In the middle of the bell we have all the average folks. I think what you're saying is true, but just simply a fact of life. We have the full spectrum for both genders. As for why guys don't protest ... I guess they realize that it's just the way things are and protests are unlikely to change anything. Hope this helps!

I one met this Tibetan kid who told me stories of the kind of torture that his family was put thru at the hands of the Chinese, so gruesome that I couldnt belive it at first, until he showed his scarred body. But to answer your question.
Have you seen the kind of countries America has gone to war with in the past?
They are all usually small, incapable of defending themselves, have no weapons of serious consequence and usually are poor, and most importantly have no American companies makin money by selling it goods and services. China will probably wipe out the entire people of Tibet to assert its Han majority before the century is over and the world would just sit and watch from a safe distance. Its all about money. If you allow Big superpowers to sell stuff in your country, youre safe. Further more they have nukes. The lesson for the world is clear, if you dont want to be attacked by a superpower like the U.S. make sure firstly to have American investments in your country and lesson number two is to have a working nuclear weapon. China has both. People like Bill Clinton have gone on record to say that they support the "one China Policy". How disgusting is that?

What ? You want them to close down the Walmart, the KFC, the CocaCola businesses over there ? And, end all this "favorite son" trade agreements with them and have the hopes of building factories over there distroyed by a labeling process (no matter how accurate) ? As Wall St. would say in these matters---why can't we all just learn to live together ?

Hopefully, you catch my drift here---bottom line rules the day and the people in Washington serve one God--- the monatary system-- and a billion Chinese customers is just too much to look at to see what the government there does with much clarity or clear thinking !! A lot of people don't know this---but it is a fact that there are Chinese soldiers within the U S at this very minute--on some kind of "exchange" thing between the governments (???) Make of THIS what you will !!!

Not only China why not add the US too.
If China invaded Tibet ,so did the Americans invade Iraq.If they wiped out Monastries , the US conquest has led to chaos and in the end wiped out historical artefacts of Mesopotamian Civilzation in addition to thousands of innocent human beings including US Soldiers.Neither of the conquests were approved by the UN and is a basic violation of International Rules n Human Rights.
