I have just had my ears pierced, and I have been given the solution and instructions on how to care for them. However, I am really nervous that when I am twisting them around I moght rip the ear. Is this possible? I am really nervous and worried so any response on this would be welcome.

When I twist and clean them, there is dried blood at the back of the piercing, underneath the butterfly. Is this normal??

Dont worry about ripping the ear, its almost impossible unless someone actually purposely tugged on the earring really hard. Yes yes yes it is normal for blood to be on the back of the earring, you should expect it to be there you just put a hole in the ear of course there will be blood. Dont worry about it though, just remember to take good care of your ears otherwise they can get infected... and dont change the earrings for 6 weeks!! Also, dont take them out either for a good 5 months just so they dont close up on you.

I have a total of 7 ear piercings....4 in the left, 2 in the right, 1 in the cartilage in the left. Use the solution the store gave you. And yes....twist those ear-rings!!! The blood IS normal. What happens when you stick your finger? You bleed...but not for long, right? Same concept. By twisting the ear-rings you are making the puncture heal, therefore sealing it. After about a week...you won't even realize they are there anymore. Enjoy your new piercings!

No, don't worry. I got my ears pierced for the 3rd time about a month ago and nothing has happened when I twisted them. It may sting a little the first few times you twist them but after that it won't. You should be fine.

You will not rip a hole in your ear. Your are just turning them around in a cicular motion. The dried blood is normal. It wont hurt if you remove the earing and clean the ear and but the earing back in immediately.

no you wont rip your ear. you might have some dried up blood or something and when you twist it it might scare you thinking your ripping your ear but don't worry about it its not doing anything bad when you twist them.

no its not possible. your ear would rip only if someone tugged on it really hard like in a sport but what are the odds? so dont worry.
