if you think about it, there really is no difference. creatures of the night refer to anything that usually is "awake" at night. such as Vampires, Werewolfs.... ect.. but vampires would be a part of this general name.

hope that helped

Reality Check: a vampire is a parasitic creature that subsides off the blood or life energy of others. Fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, hook worm, vampire bats, etc.

Mythology: The vampire of Western Mythology is certainly a 'creature of the night.' Sunlight will kill it so it is regulated to the dead of night. In Mythology the werewolf also is a creature of the night and more broadly speaking, any child of Lilith, the Mother of the Preternatural creatures: Vampires, trolls, afrits, etc.

Truth: A creature of the night is any nocturnal creature such as the common bat, owl, and other natural creatures that just happen to hunt by night rather than day.

A vampire is a being or creature with specific characteristics like drinking blood, being immortal, and a severe allergy to sunlight.
Creature of the dark is a much more general term for any, presumably evil, creature that sulks in the shadows of darkness and threatens us in some way.

its like a section in a band, you have the trombones, the drums, flutes, and the trumpets. Vampires are a part of the group that make up the creatures of the night, along with likens, witches, and other creatures that have there peak power in the dark, (witches and some others are not all bad!!!! but if you know a vampire stay away from them no mater what they tell you, yes I believe they exist and have even seen two rob the life from another human being to consume the energy of her soul (drug OD my ***!!!!!!! Jess wouldn't have touched any of it!!))
