Nothing is going to join old to new concrete. Your best hope is to drill and attach a beam with lag bolts to the existing material and go with wood and conventional roof. Get the opinion of an inspecter first.

Adding a new concrete slab roof flush to an older slab can be done. One method is to drill old slab edge and insert steel pins. the pins are glued into the old slab with epoxy. This will connect strongly when the new slab is poured. Another common method is to use flat steel plates drilled and bolted on the top and bottom of the seam between old and new slabs. For sealing the joint from water seepage, nothing is better than tar. This is a serious contruction issue and any method should be approved by local building inspectors and engineers.

I suppose that your old RCC slab has the reinforcements extended for lapping to the new one. In that case, tie the lapping reinforcements for continuity. Then, chip the old joint surface at 45 degrees so that the old mortar is removed. Clean the surface by a water jet. Apply the compound 'Nitobond' (a compound marketed by 'FOSROC' for bondage of old and new concrete surfaces) by brushing. Now, lay the new concrete and be sure to compact the the concrete mass with plate vibrator or simply tamping and poking with steel rod at the junction.

you can put a stopper on both side of the joint with one stopper having canopy at the top and extending over the other stopper.Treat this with good waterproofing coating.this is effective but not foolproof, one of my friend has devised a unique solution and a very effective one against dripping joint he simply put a drain(half cut pipe) under the joint and gave it a slope joining it into a down drain.

Before putting new RCC roof, first chip the old roof edges and join both reinforcement then you put the new RCC roof.
