My car needs a new ignition switch, but I'm too busy working and paying bills to deal with it. When I want to start it, I have to turn on the key, raise the hood and touch a wire to one of the battery posts. It's a pain, but other than that the car runs fine.........

Yes! The key fob quit working; it's the electronic device in the car ($300+ to fix). The driver's seat is crooked - there's something wrong with the motor or device in the seat. The display went out on the time and temperature. It's an old Lexus with some quirks but it still runs good. I think I would get the ignition switch fixed - lol.

Spun Up ... I know the feeling. My Toyota Sienna annoys me because the climate control system looks like something from the Space Shuttle. It doesn't work as well as I expected it would and if you try to adjust something while you're on the road, it requires so much of your attention, you risk having an accident.
I don't like the way the transmission shifts, either. It's fine under normal conditions. But you know how you sometimes have to hit the accelerator a bit? I don't mean flooring it; I mean a simple, sudden increase in pressure to the gas pedal. Well, the transmission down-shifts to the next lower gear. But sometimes it seems to get "confused" as it seems to be wondering whether it should down-shift one gear or two. This hesitation as it shifts once and shifts again leaves me with little added power for about three seconds and I've seen others complain about it too.
Lastly, the passenger compartment climate control system has a filter near the fan. As I got my van serviced at the dealer last time, he showed this filter to me, but I don't know where it came from. It was nearly black and he tried to tell me that it USED to be white and they could replace it for $65!!!!!
WHAT????? My mouth almost fell open in disbelief. Well, to make a long story short, that filter ALSO comes with a black filter element. I also eventually found where this filter is "hidden." I just vacuumed it and put it back; it wasn't bad at all. Saved $65, too.

lol, that is too funny because I went through the same thing a few months ago. I finally got a new ignition switch but not after spending over $600.00 because my stupid mechanic didn't know that it was a ignition switch. So now I have a new starter, a new starter relay switch, new spark plugs, a new fuel pump. Anyway of course I was pissed.mmmmmmm, now I'm wondering if he knew all along that it was my ignition and just milked me. LAWSUIT!!!!

Yeah. One of my doors will not lock when you lock the rest of them with the key or with the switch. So if someone opens that door first, the alarm goes off (which isn't even really an alarm, it's just cuts the ignition) and the lights start flashing.
