Is my friend gay?

I really like him but I don't know if he is the same way or not.
Sometimes he gives signs of it like when we go to to weight lift in the mornings he doesn't mind seeing me naked and sometimes fools around and pretends that he likes me. But other times hes normal. I am un-comfortable asking him if he is gay or bi because i dont want him to think im a freak or anything. He says that he is but i dont know if he is kidding or not. He does have a girlfriend but i dont know if he is coverng it up or not. Some people think he is. Please tell me what I should do! Thanks!

Your situation reminds me very much of my own. As much as i enjoyed it when my friend joked about being gay with me, he isnt in fact gay. Although at that time he didnt know that i WAS gay. Im assuming he knows u are gay? if so then he most likely thinks that joking around like he does is making you feel more comfortable and that he supports homosexuality. To truly find out however if HE is gay, because closeted gays and straights both engage in such fake-homo behavior, is to ask him or subtley come on to him. If he looks at you weird, then play it off as a joke like he often does to you. If he plays back, keep flirting until he stops joking or until, like you wanted, he plays back to the point where something sexual happens.

He could very well be bisexual or gay. But the only way to really know the answer is by asking him. If he told you he is gay, maybe he really is so.

I think honesty is the best policy. I think you need to have a frank discussion with him. If he is put out or freaks out and does not want you around or to be a friend then he was not worth it to begin with! If he is truly your friend he will accept you no matter what his orientation is.
